What do I use to release cast epoxy?

If I want to cast some simple shapes from west systems epoxy (cubes and the like) and I'd like to know what the best release agent/casting method would be.
Objects in mirror appear to be losing....

Casting in what? Or on what?
Epoxy putty can be molded onto shapes with various release agents - talc or corn starch being perhaps the most convenient - think of it like making dough.
