HELP! Where to purchase drill bits???

Hi guys, i'm looking for a place to purchase drill bits of size 0.098". My stock just ran out

and i can't seem to find a place to buy a bulk of them. i don't want to have to purchase a set with many different size since i'm only missing this size .....

i used to have carbide drill bits, is there anything better out there?

They bought Tool Crib of the North a few years back - it's a great place to look for tools.

Search tools for drill bits 2.5mm
You'll find three - one is a jobber bit, in steel. Another has a hex shaft mount.

The steel might be a bit more resiliant than carbide.

I don't see any separate 2.5mm bits at www.modelexpo-online.com

www.micromark.com is another choice.

I just bought a several bits and the chuck for converting a cordless screwdriver from Micro-MarK. The turn around was pretty fast:

Micro Mark is definitely good on turnaround. I recently ordered some carbide files, and they shipped and arrived well within the week.

Guess i'll have to step from 0.0098 to 0.0135.. it seem to be hard to find anything smaller than a #80 .... Thanks guys!

You need a #88 or #89, or a .25mm bit. Tough to find but possible.

And possibly pricey

I gotta admit, I've never needed to go beyond #80 but if .25mm is what you need.

well, i have a 300' of 0.25mm of fiber optics to go, i'll probably go a tad bigger next time. i prefer to use 0.25 drill bit as the #80 make the hole bigger and it leaves a small hole around. It insn't so bad to look at but it's that bad in my mind

The 0.3 bit drills a very snug hole for 0.25 fiber. I use a pin vise.
