Mr. Masking Sol Neo
I went to my local hobby shop today and asked for a decal solution. They offered me "Mr. Masking Sol Neo", and so I bought it. But now, at closer examination, it looks more like liquid masking stuff. Did they give me the wrong stuff? Or IS this a decal solution? And if, how do I use it?

From what I can see, it's a dissolver for masking solutions...so yeah, you got the wrong stuff.
Look for Mr. Mark Setter, Mr. Mark Softer, if you want to stick with Gunze stuff. Otherwise, Microscale has Micro-Sol, and Micro-Set, or Walthers has a product too (forget the name, though).

oops,that IS the Liquid rubber stuff. Jonas is right,just go for the Mr.Mark Softer. i use it exclusively. i don't use the Mark Setter coz it is too strong. the equivalents are Mark Setter:Micro Sol,then Mark Softer:Micro Set.
When using Mr.Mark softer i first use "Just water" to apply the decal, then i apply the mark softer. you can use mark softer first on the model then the decal but drying time and setting of the decal will be much quicker.
As for the Masking Neo, use future on the model first, or any clear top coat, then apply the Mask thinly on the model,wait to dry, then remove. don't use too much coz the Masking Solution will remove the underlying gloss. Hope this helps!

Anyway, thanks for the info everyone, wish you´d work in my hobby shop...
Oops, BTW, forgot to ask: what exactly does this mark setter do? Will the decals stick onto the model tighter or can they be bent better or do they "float" into the panel lines?
