Where can I get a stand?

A wood base to mount a model on. Something pre-made, not anything painted, just a nice block of wood?

I found these at Hobby Lobby; cost about a buck each, and HL frequently runs their craft wood at half-off.

If you don't want to do the mail order thing, you can get wooden plaques like the ones in Romulan Spy's link (along with other styles) at arts and crafts stores like Michael's and Beverly's. That is if, like me, you dno't have access to any of those Hobby Lobby stores

I found a nice selection of small bases at Wal-Mart in the craft section. They're plywood, but nice plywood. They take Krylon clear and laquer well, as well as nice black paint. They come in triangles, ovals, and squares, maybe more shapes. 4 or 5 inches across.

If it is a round base you are after that is.
