I've heard of Milkshape, but are there any others?
If a redhead works at a bakery, does that make him a gingerbread man?

I use Carrara 5 myself.
I think it has a lot of good features at a reasonable price.

Those all look good. A question: are these programs known as vector design programs?

No. Illustrator, Freehand, & CorelDraw are vector design applications. There used to be a 3D vector program called...called...frak, can't remember. Another Adobe product that's all I can remember. Carrara can import vector profiles to use, so can Form•Z but niehter produce a vector format.MillenniumFalsehood wrote:Those all look good. As it turns out, Adobe is putting forward a new version of Acrobat that allows for sharing of 3D data.

It's a rather pricy critter, though.
Actually, there is presently a plugin for Carrara called Vectorstyle that can export rendered images in a vector-based format.Carrara can import vector profiles to use, so can Form•Z but niehter produce a vector format.
Apparently, these are not 3D but 2D Vectors, however.

I don't own it, but other folks I know speak well of it.
