Hey all,
I have a model and a few areas are still a little tacky. I was wondering if I gave it a coat of dull clear coat, if that would seal it up or not?

I would wait for a loooong time until the tackiness completely subsides. It should, eventually. Otherwise, the tacky coat may continue to cure under the hardened clear coat and "outgas." This outgassing will produce cracks in the clear coat which look like a spider has left footprints across the surface of the model.

Also, the clear coat would likely dry faster than the coat below, which would lead to an even worse case of cracking.
I had a 1/48 Tiger Meet F-16 with the full set of Daco decals on it. Decaled quickly after painting, clear-coated it, and ended up with an alligator-skin finish that needed a lot more clear coating after to even come close to smooth.
