Where do you buy resistors

Hi all, i need a little help. Until today, i was lighting my model the cheap way but i've now decided that i should light them properly. i've been looking around for a place to get 1/4 watt resistor without having to buy a whole set of many value that i'll never use( like on digikey.com but i don't want to buy 5000 1 ohm resistor because it's their break price!!! )...

Anything specific i should look at when buying ?

Try http://www.LSDiodes.com Never had a problem and they ship fast

DigiKey and Mouser are the "top tier" for electronic components - they have almost everything; their prices tend to be higher because they don't sell surplus components.

All Electronics has a narrower selection, but excellent prices and good service.

Electronic Goldmine is another good place, and so is B.G. Micro

Resistors are the one thing that Radio Shack is good for.

But Radio Shack only has a few values. The prices are not so good, but you can't beat it for speed od 'delivery'. If I only need one or 2, I would go there (and have).

They have two good grab bags though, fastest way to get the 'normal' spread of values.

These aren't recycled resistors either, they are off spools. They have a bit of tape on each side of the resistor, holding a few of each value together. the bag is labeled with the values and numebr of each vaule.
