Resin or Rosin core solder?
Is there a difference between resin core solder and rosin core solder?

For soldering electrical or electronic bits, always use Rosin (or Resin) core solder made specifically for electronic work. NEVER USE ACID CORE SOLDER - also called "plumbers solder". Plumbers need the acid to etch into the metal pipe they're working on for a good hold. Etching into electronical parts is BAD - the acid corrodes everything, especially fine wires..
I use 'silver solder' from All or Jameco - very fine diameter solder. Radio Shack might even have it, still.
