I'm working on a kitbash and was needing some suggestions on a compound to fill the seams between the dyed and clear plastic. Mr. Surfacer doesn't craze the plastic, but will not be "thick" enough for one particular area.
Any suggestions?

Thickened Future? Let some Future sit out overnight until it's gooey. Apply it to the seam. Then, smooth it with a Windex-soaked Q-tip.
Limited to ONLY the construction materials in the Box o' Crap, I used tinted, thickened Future - a finishing material - to construct the back half of this canopy. It took about 50 coats, but it worked:

GRanted, it was a proof of concept for me. But, I've used it since as a filler for clear parts.

Epoxy putty works well, excess is removed before curing with alcohol on a swab. Smooth with alcohol then water.
White glue works well, too - you can build up a fair amount of material with it. Excess is removed with water on a swab.
