I need guidance.
I bought Frisket paper today at Michaels (holy crap this stuff is expensive) as I understand, this is used in the process of making your own decals from scratch.

So, did I get the right stuff and where do I go from here?

I use SuperCal decal paper made specifically for inkjet printers. My printer is and older Epson C80 which uses waterproof inks which is perfect for decals. Unfortunately it doesn't print 'white' like the ALPS printer does.
I'm not sure what this frisket you bought has to do with photoshop/decal making though.
It's mainly for airbrush masking.

Frisket is used better for making low tack templates..not decals.
Get yourself some decal paper....just do a google search for waterslide decal paper...or inkjet decal paper.
Also...Photoshop is not one of the best programs to use to make decals. Try Corel Draw or Some other Cad program. You want to be able to draw them big and then scale them down without losing detail. Photoshop is not able to do this.
All is not lost though....Frisket paper comes in very handy for airbrushing panels and like I mentioned making templates.
What are you making decals of?

How do you know my dimwitted inexperience isn't really a subtle form of manipulation used to lower peoples expectations, thereby enhancing my ability to maneuver myself within any given situation?
Let me esplain a little further. At any given time I'ver got 100 sheets of clear decal papaer and a few sheets of white (just in case). Ik now what decal paper is for and I know how to use it.Darkov wrote:Frisket is used better for making low tack templates..not decals.

What I'm talking about is (as Arthur Pendragon mentioned some time ago) using the frisket paper to trace your detail panels on your model, scanning them and making your decals for the panel details using your traces accordingly.
That's what I'm trying to find out.
I think I may just have to go to the source on this one.
Thanks, though.
