Need Water-clear UK resin

Post by Antenociti »

HI folks,

need some help finding a UK water-clear resin for pressure casting.

Thickness of 5-8mm sections, nothing from atlas polymers such as their 009 as i've tried that and its utter ≠♀§#&@(§.

Needs a de-mould time of around 2 hours max also.

There are several clrear polyurethanes but I'm not sure of the details. Try Notcutt Ltd

I don't think you'll find a clear urethane resin which sets in minutes. There are epoxies but they can stick to some silicone rubbers and the ultra clear ones also tend to take hours to cure. A quick cure induces lots of heat which promotes bubbles which negates the point of clear resin.

aye - which is why i want one that can be pressure cast - thus the exotherm issues are negated.

Doesnt need to be minutes though, its commercially viable if it can be de-moulded in 2 hours or so.
