White window decals?

White window decals?
I'm working on the Replicas Unlimited Cylon Basestar, and I'm looking for a way to do all those tiny windows. Ideally, I'd like to find someone who already makes rows of tiny white dots as decals, but failing that, is there anyone who will custom-print some for me based on a PS or other image file?
I suppose I could poke little pinholes in masking tape, and then mask and paint each section individually, but that thought just makes me cringe...

Re: White window decals?
I have this model and i was about to start it. The way i was going to do it is take a toothpick or pin and dip that in white gloss paint.9.8m/s^2 wrote:I'm working on the Replicas Unlimited Cylon Basestar, and I'm looking for a way to do all those tiny windows. I am not familiar with the MR base star. How large are the windows?
The reason I ask is I have had excellent results using the heads (not points!!) of straight pins. Simply dip the flat head in paint, and the little bead of paint floats nicely on the head of the pin. IT's easy to accurately apply dots of paint this way.
I hope this helps.

Re: White window decals?
I once asked JBot decals to do some for me and a friend of mine for the iFactory Rodger Young, and those decals are available now at his website (in two sizes and shapes, rectangular and simple dots). Just go there and have a look.9.8m/s^2 wrote:I'm working on the Replicas Unlimited Cylon Basestar, and I'm looking for a way to do all those tiny windows. I use the gel pen mostly for small round windows. For larger round or rectangular windows, I either mask and paint or use white decal fim cut to size. You can buy it in 8.5 x 11 inch sheets at my LHS. I think they're intended for use on RC airplanes or cars.Marco Scheloske wrote:Yes, I used such a pen before, but when you have to make many straight lines of equal sized windows nothing beats those decals...TREKKRIFFIC wrote:Try using a white gel ink pen. Works great for me.
