Where to buy paint

Post by karim »

I'm in need of paint.

There are no worthwhile LHSs in my area, and I'd like to get it all in one shipment if possible.

Does anyone know of a decent online store that ships:

Alclad Lacquer
Mr. Surfacer in Rattle Can
Polyscale paint

Ideas?

What about www.squadron.com as a source?

I don't have the catalogue with me and I am on a call right now.

Squadron does carry Alclad II and spray bomb Mr Surfacer. Their website sucks noodles though, you'll need IE for the search to work.

Colpar's got:

Gunze Mr. Hobby Colors (including spraybombs of Mr. Surfacer, Mr. Base white, Mr. Resin Primer, etc)
Tamiya acrylics (including Fine surface primer)
White Ensign
Alclad
Model Master Acryl, Lacquers, and Enamels
Vallejo acrylics
Games Workshop
Floquil

It's a "if they don't have it, you don't need it" type of shop.

Ugh you're right.

HOWEVER, they happen to not carry any of the colors I need in anything smaller than 4oz bottles at $30 ea.

Ugh.

Did you just check the website, or did you call them?

The website's not managed by them, it's just a front for a warehouse somewhere--what the store carries and what the website has is completely different.

What are you looking for? I'd be glad to pop over there on my way home and check. But seriously, call them, and ask for Mike. 1-800-876-0414
