LED Pulsing/Fading Circuit

Post by thegt4master »

Hi folks,

I'm in need of some help or advice please?

For my latest project I need to have 1 LED that will pulse on and off but at the same time rather than just go on and off I'd like it to fade on and fade off say once every 2 seconds.

I'm planning on using a 6V power supply.

I've seen a few circuits on the net but they all seem to use 12V, as I've never built a circuit myself I was wondering if anywhere sells an off the shelf circuit, other than that I could try building it myself but it would need to be fairly simple/fool proof :D

I remember on the Bowden's Hobby Circuit page a circuit called Fading Red Eyes. As I read it it has a simular effect as in your discription of goals and desire.

This is the URL:

Thanks for that Don.

Not sure my electronics skills will go stretch that far :?

Not being one to give up without a try I'll see if I can get the parts locally and have a go at building it :)

Micro Mark sells this little board which you may be able to adapt to use an LED.
