What's the best way to polish clear resin?

I need a REALLY shiny look on a resin piece of mine. I have some buffing compound for brass but I'm worried that it'd be too course. Also will resin melt easilly from buffing? I just use a dremel as my buffer but maybe I should be using something else.

be careful with heat. Use a polishing compound, and then a nice wax topcoat if you can.

is it ok to use future over wax?

That's a good question, I haven't tried it and I don't think I would. The surface tension of the wax will probably cause the Future to crackle. Wax is usually the final coating.
I've polished clear resins, and use Future as the final coat to make it completely clear.

The car guys use was all the time for finish.

I've had luck with the Tamiya polishing compound and a dremel.

i use a watch crystal polishing compound (comes in a bar shape) and my polishing motor. the stuff is made to polish acrylic watch crystals and does a great job
