Plasti-Dip for mold making?

I've seen this stuff called Plasti-Dip, and it is a rubber coating used for tool handles. It is advertized to be stretchy and flexible. Would this stuff work for making molds for resin models?

In my honest opinion, no.

Nasty, sticky, never truly cures, takes 400 thousand coats to get a good thickness and god knows what mold release would do to it.

14.5oz for $7.49.

Oomoo 30, $22.41 for 2.8lbs.

I'll let somebody else do the math.

We've used Plasti-dip at work to re-coat tool handles

Nasty - stinky - toxic - and as Kly stated, takes forever to set up

Total agreement here - stick with the RTV rubbers by Smooth-on, Alumilite and others made for mold-making - steer clear of this stuff

Thanks for the replies. I was thinking about using Oomoo 30 anyway- best amount for the price, and I know it works.
