Hi,

There used to be a really good supplier of all sorts of F/O and opto-electronics called "Polytechnik" but I think they folded years ago. Sonce then we've been pretty limited here in the UK as to the range of what we can get - and it's twice the US price.

On the postive side, Hobby's stock far more than 1mm F/O and at as good a price as you'll get in the UK. The Hobby's catalog is also readily availavble in WH Smiths, Menzies, etc. You can pay using cheque/postal order.

if you have a paypal account linked in your bank account, you can look at http://www.thefiberopticstore.com/FOS-mainpage.htm

i used to order from fiberopticproducts.com but had bad service/experience so i switched and i'm more than happy with them, there's lights everywhere now

It's EU so probably cheaper than ordering from the US and you can use normal bank transfers, since it's inside the EU
