Super Clean has finally failed me and I need help!!
I use Super Clean for just about everything! I use it to remove mold release, skin oils and just about everything else including paint! BUT! I was air brush painting a 1/2500 scale TOS Enterprise in Model Master Gold Enamel last night and I forgot to prime! I wasn't paying attention and got a bad run (I mean BAD!) So to my bucket of Super Clean I thought for a overnight soak and it would be fine. When I checked on it this morning I was amazed to find the paint was still intact without even the smallest dent! What should I try now?

Why not the areosol?Johnnycrash wrote:Easy Off Oven Cleaner. Use the pump bottle, not the areosol. Cover liberally, and let stand for about 20 minutes. Rinse with warm water and gentley scrub with an old (or your sister's) toothbrush.

You get more bang for your buck. The areosol can has much propelent, and less Easy Off. The pump gives better value, you can buy the bulk-refil for it, and you can get better coverage. Oh yeah, the pump is better for your health, as it does not vapourize the Easy Off. And... With the pump, you can pour some out into a container (I use an old chip-dip tup with lid) and then dunk smaller parts into it, like chrome bits.Cyber-Sith wrote:Why not the areosol?

I know that's not what the instructions say, but the kit's wrong anyway.

the only easy-off i could find at wal-mart in the pump bottle was for cleaning stainless steel appliances and another for cleaning flat top stoves. would those work?
If I have a bow and arrow, Commander, I don't shoot a padded shaft to my target's left in order to express my annoyance. I fire a steel-tipped arrow into his leg. That's my idea of a warning shot.
