Clear canopy painting, future-ing

Post by Grumpy Popeye »

Would I dip the canopy in future first, then tape/paint the windows, or paint the frames, then dip?

If you want the whole thing glossy, you may as well paint then dip. If you need the frame to be matte, then dip first. Usually I dip first. Remember to use something like a little Windex in the water you clean with to reduce static. Also remember to cover the part when you allow it to dry to reduce dust potential. Also remember to wick away as much excess as possible - I use paper - you'll see the drop form.

The transparencies on my KiTech Blue Thunder kit, well, were not transparent...more translucent. After a dip in Future, they are crystal clear!

Do it, Dark Clown. You won't be able to thank yourself enough! :8)
