I've been trying to find the right paints to help me simulate the irridescent Aztec pattern created by Trekmodeler for his 1/350 rebuild. Unfortunately, the WASCO paints he mentioned cannot be imported because they are paints.
I was just wondering if any of the UK based modelers had found any comparable paints that are available over here? I was thinking perhaps the the Createx Wicked pearl colour range? Has anyone tried these and if so what were your thoughts on the result?
Thanks in advance.

You might want to look for pearlescent powders which you can mix into a clear gloss. That might be an easier solution.
House of Kolor does this kind of thing, and I'm sure others do.

Also, Testors makes acrylic pearl paints - they're tricky to use, but I guess that's the case with any specialty paints.

I've used the purple pearls on Centauri miniatures, they're very nice.
