Anyone use the Testors Aztec Mini Airbrush Compressor - Blue

Post by ulvdemon »

I've tried looking through the forums, but I am getting cross eyed. Looking into getting this as my starter compressor before moving up to something else? Has anyone used this? Thougths on it? Thanks in advance.

I haven't used it but I used the Testor's stuff back 20 years ago as a wee lad. One thing to consider is the fittings. I know it used to be the case that the hoses and stuff for Testor's required adaptors to be used with Paasche, Badger and Iwata. I would humbly recommend an Iwata or Badger/Paasche compressor.

Spend a bit more and get a good compressor from the start.

Mine so far has served me nearly 15yrs and is still going strong and running smooth.

Iwata SmadtJet.

'Nuff said. :D

Actually, Iwata now makes a version with a tank. That would be my choice.

If you have a Hobby Lobby near you, print a 40% off coupon and go get one.

If noise isn't an issue, Campbell-Hausfeld makes a nice compressor with a 2gallon tank for about $75 or so.

I have one and only tried it once but just happened to get a 5 gallon compressor by coincidence right after getting it...
I guess it worked ok and still have it but truthfully, save a bit of cash up and go to Harbor Freight or the like and get a real one you will thank yourself later with the increased workload from it...
Btw, if you should ever find yourself in Hobby Lobby and don't have a coupon printed off just pull it up on your phone and they will take it from there as well as a printed version.
Later,
