Hi all,
I am running wire in my Y-wing project and a friend of mine has offered to solder the connections. I had him do a couple of connections for the main power, hooking up half of the power plug set. He ran the wires through the mounts, twisted the wire together, applied heat and ran the solder into place.
Here is my question- I have read that solder connections need to have flux paste applied to the soldering area, then proceed with soldering. I am using multistrand copper wire, removing the sheath just prior to soldering. If no flux is used for these joins, is that a bad thing that will cause problems, or is it OK for this application?
Thanks in advance for any light you can shed.
Cheers, Jim
