The point? The tea lights are not clad in thin metal, but in clear plastic cup that is apparently impervious to (candle-flame-level) heat.
Once empty, the container is about 1.5" dia x 5/8th" tall.
There's a divot dead-centre on the outside of the bottom - useful for locating any holes you might want to drill.
There are four bumps 90 degrees apart around the rim.
I don't yet know how well it takes glue, or what sort of glues might be used with this, but I thought you might like to know so's you can do your own investigating.
