Question on thinning for airbrush

I am a rookie at airbrushing so bear with me.....

Last night I tried to airbrush on a coat of acrylic flat clear as on of my final steps on my model. However the paint barely was able to come out of the airbrush. Even with the airbrush wide open hardly anything visible was coming out of the airbrush. The paint does not appear to be thick at all, in fact seems about like water, however as flat, it is very milky.

Question is, should I thin it with alcohol to try to make it spray better or something?

In my experience the flat coats should be able to be sprayed right out of the bottle (no thinning required). I'd clean your airbrush... I usually use Windex after every use to clean it out. Either that or perhaps you got a bad bottle of matte coat.

Sounds like a clog to me also. Give it a good cleaning.
