Hi,
A question to all you master painters out there. How do I get a real looking chrome finish on my AMT Naboo N-1 starfighter?
Chrome finishing

4 ways, to my knowledge.
Alclad Metaliser II Chrome does a decent job of a spray on chrome. Mind you this is a lacquer based paint that has to be applied with an airbrush.
Aluminum foil or Bare Metal foil applied to plastic. BMF has a self stick backing and is really, really thin.
Clean & strip the parts and have then shipped off to a plastic chroming shop.
and the fourth?
Why machine a new set of parts out of aluminum of course.
Alclad is the easiest (barring the cost of having them plated) but requires an airbrush that can handle lacquers. Next easiest is the BMF, then wood glue and aluminum foil.
Don't think anybody wants to machine the parts.
