What to fill models with?

Post by Ty »

Hi all. I'm planning to add weight to my t-800 skull by filling the inside with something but I'm not sure what. I want it to be rather weighty so it feels alot more like a sculpture rather than a plastic kit. A human head weighs around 4.5kg (I think) what would be the best thing to fill the interior of the skull with? Plaster of paris? If I fill the whole head with plaster of paris I'm sure it will weigh a ton and would probably cause stress and strain on the plastic and probably crack it... Any suggestions would be great, thanks alot!

You could add Plaster of Paris to a weght hat seems about right then finish off with somthing a bit lighter - spray foam of something. But be careful to avoid anything that cures exothermically. Whilst resin won't be affected the same way as vinyl it can still distort with heat being applied.
Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage
to change the things I cannot accept, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of those I had to kill today because they got on my nerves.

And help me to remember when I'm having a bad day and it seems that people are trying to wind me up, it takes 42 muscles to frown, 28 to smile
and only 4 to extend my arm and smack someone in the mouth!
