what DPI or whatever should I tell the people at Kinko's or some other professional print shop to print out the decals in?
I'm thinking about going there to get the downloadable decal sheets printed out on their color laser printer. I just want to make certain they are the correct size and scale for what I'll be decalling like the 1/350th scale Refit Enterprise and the Ertl Defiant.
what about decal downloads?

Are these decals the Matt Fletcher ones availalable here at SM?
If so, they're 1200 dpi, and should be printed at 100%. DPI shouldn't matter as far as print size, though the higher the dpi, the more accurate the printed detail will be (dots per inch refers not to how large a 1-inch on-screen block will print, but how many dots will be printed within that 1-inch block). </lecturing>
DPI and print size should be independent with any good publishing software. Hopefully any downloaded decals will include intended dpi and scaling information.
Might be worth it to have them print a test on regular paper first, if you've something to compare the proper size to.
