Where do I buy them and what is a rasonable price to spend on one? Also, could someone explain to me what the advantage is and if it has any other practical uses besides printing decals (and printing white).

Ebay is the only way unless you're buying overseas. They are no longer imported to the US (and may be no longer made, canna red Japanese so the ALPS japan site doesn't help). Price, $300 to $700 is what I've seen. White & metalics are the ALPS fortay, what sets it apart from damn near all other printers.
