Airbrushing: Paint to mixture ratio

Hi... I'm trying to find out the correct mixture of enamel paint to thinner ratio. Any takers?

The best advice I got was from a guy at my local hobby store. He said it should be the consistency of milk ! That's worked great for me.

Generally the "milk" consistancy is correct. With Model Master paints as a rule you only need to add about one quatrer thinner to 3/4 paint. Most others I go 2:1 paint/ thinner.

I have a can of ModelMaster airbrush thinner which gives the ratio of enamel to thinner of 60/40 which is pretty close to milk... lowfat milk that is. :wink:
