How do you kit bash Galoob Star Trek Micromachines?

Hi I was wondering what the best way is to go about customizing your own Galoob Star Trek Micromachine size models? I was wondering what type of tools to use for cutting, gluing (best glue to use?), and what type of sculpt (resin? any other materials?)? Also was wondering how to make molds of those custom micromachine Star Trek ships for future duplication and what material is required for the process? I was wondering what paint to use as well and primer if necessary? Below are some photos of some custom ships I found from another customizer's website. What material is it that he is using for that Cheyenne Trek starship?
