Question re PNT decals and white glue

Post by viper1 »

HI there,

Im a bit of a noob when it comes to aftermarket decals so apologies if this is a silly question.

Ive just finished building an ERTL excelsior and have bought some of the PNT decals to finish it off. In the instructions it says to apply a few drops of white glue to the water before placing the decals my questions are:

1) is white glue PVA glue?

2) do you add the white glue to the water on the model or to the water you immerse the decals in for 20 seconds prior to slidding them off the backing paper

3) how much is a few drops?

Thank's for being patient with me :D

1) Just like Elmers
2) the dish of soaking water
3) just a few drops. You're aiming to make a water-thin, weak adhesive to counter the dilution of the decal paper's qwn adhesive.
Progress isn't made by early risers. It's made by lazy men trying to find easier ways to do something.
