How to paint "cut-edges" on a figure bust?

Post by Marco Scheloske »

Fellows,

at the moment I`m working on a small bust of a "grey alien". It show the head and parts of the chest of the creature, wearing a zip-lock shirt or jacket.

The "cut edges" are very steep, so you can see them from the side.

How can I paint those?

Really like being cut through the whole figure, showing flesh-color in the middle and a small rim of the color of the shirt / jacket?

Or better in a neutral color, maybe the same like the one from the stand, which is direcly casted under the bust in form of a champagnerglas-feet?

Opinions? Tips?
