fairchild PG52AB CD4060BCN

picked up some these chips in the hope of making blinking swirling wonderfulness for my models. however, zip is what i'm getting.
is there anyone out there who can give me some tips on how to start these going or a primer to read? thanks dave

Ignore the "PG52AB" part. When looking for a data sheet the "CD4060BCN" is the only important part of the part number.
