For Dummys...

Post by PlastiQ_Man »

So many people have fully lit up star ship models... I was wondering if anywhere on the web someone might have just listed all the materials they used in their light up project and made a schematic of what gets plugged into what. I want to do the work myself and save money and learn how to do it, instead of buying a pre-made kit, but I don't know much about the types of components I would need like chips and resistors n all that happy crap.

I know that I could put it all together myself if I knew what I needed and where to connect it.

Anybody got a great link?

Thanks!

I cheated and used a set of battery powder LED Christmas lights, available @ crafts stores (got mine from Hobby Lobby).

Na, I don't wanna cheat. I wanna learn by doing so I can eventually be creative and create original lighting effects.

-Specifically I want to light up the 350 A and NX-01 models but I wanna do it without buying pre-made kits.

Dude! Check the 'stickies' that head this forum for a lot of "Buy THIS" inflamation. Also the threads in this forum have a lot of that kind of info.

Yeah, we really need a "Basics" looonng article, which I had until that last compooter crash....
