Basic help for lighting

Hi I'm going to be doing a BSG razor raider from a original kit and i would like to light the engines, i have never tried to light any thing before .What do i need to know ? I would like to use a blue led's . Can any one steer me in a good direction and my be tell me what i need and where i can get the stuff that i need. thanks.

There's some sticky threads at the top of this forum to help you get started, from where to buy stuff to basic blinking circuits.
