I built one of these.

The challenge: build any kind of hover tank without using a tank kit's hull or turret - because nothing saus 'fun' like 70 tons of floating mayhem.

Good day all. I hope the summer has been good for everyone.

Some of the stuff here is quite original and very well thought out. And I have to say that your writing Dr. Yo shows a real originality and an attention to detail that makes it a lot of fun to read.

Now I have to go Dohhh! as well, because I only now made the conection to this topic and a model I entered into a compitition back in 2001. It was the first time I had entered anything and I placed third with it in the Sci-Fi Ground Vehical section.

I think I called it 'Standing By'

At the time I tried my best and put alot of effort into it, but recently I have been entertaining the idea of reworking it for more detail. Maybe? Maybe not. We'll see.

More to come after I think it up.

I don't know why, but that totally reminds me of a game I used to play on dialup called Tanarus. Good memories, though I tried it again a few months ago and wondered what I ever saw in it. :D

Now they shut the game down of course, but I always liked the idea and the designs.

Anyway, nice job!

As soon as I saw it I thought original Battlezone, from the Arcade game

Nicely done though
It's not a toy!.... it's an accurate scale representation of a craft that doesn't actually exist.

Thank you, Don-I appreciate it. Its not all that original-Its very much
inspired by Stanley Weinbaum and Henry Kuttner, but I think I did a
fair job grafting it onto the Grav Armor universe.

Nice looking build! The lines are quite elegant.

Nicely done. The sleekness of it reminds me of early pictures of IPM1 tanks in germany. This was when they were new before they got covered in stowage baskets, bigger boxes and more little bits and antennas.
