paint over Gundam markers?

Post by DeltaVee »

I'd like to draw panel lines on primed model with a fine tip black Gundam marker and then overspray with my base coat, either Testors enamels or Floquil. Obviously, I want subtle darker panel line to remain. Will the paint adversely react wht the marker? Thanks.

Well I did the same thing for my 350 yamato. I used Tamiya Acrylics though. And I did a first pass or two of the base coat. Then did the pen and then went over it.

Thanks, John. That gives me a good idea of what I'm working with. I've never tried this. I'll be interested to see if it achieves the same effect with less trouble than laying down some tape strips and shooting a slightly darker color along them to suggest panel lines.
