Still need a source. Vibelights is totally none responsive (both to email and phone).

Anyone else out there done business with VibeLights? If so, did everything go ok?
I made an order with them and havent heard a thing since.....cant reach them on email or phone. Getting kinda worried....

Folks...I need some help.
I need a source for some 6 inch dual white ccfls. I can find 15 inch, 12 inch and 4 inch. But Im having real trouble finding 6 inch.

I have checked local Frys and also auto stores....no luck!

All help appreciated.

Ya..it needs to be 12v due to the 12v CCFLs that are in the model.

I need a couple 12v blinking circuits for the nav lights and strobes in my next starship model.

FYI...I did the PL 350 Enterprise with hundreds of LEDS and it uses a 5V power supply....
I have never noticed any heat issues. (But I dont leave it turned on for hours....)

I plan to use ACRYLIC paint for the kit. Dont I need to worry about the primer being acrylic as well?

I thought I had heard of some crackling after a lacquer based primer was covered by acrylic paint....

I need to find a good primer for a expensive resin kit I am getting. Does anyone have any preferred primer for resin?
I would prefer something acrylic based....but...will do whatever is right..

Anyone know a good vendor for VERY small LEDs?

I need some smaller than 3mm if possible.

Also if anyone know a good 'lightstrip' vendor that might help too.

Need some help. I tried some mixed Tamiya colors today on a model piece. The paint did not 'mist' well out of the airbrush. It came out somewhat blotchy. Not sure what to do... It cant change the pressure (old compressor with no adjustment). It was bout 58 degree out and I have no idea if the cold c...

When I use Aztec dummy templates I stick it a few times to a piece of silk with some talcum on it before placing on the model. This removes some of the tack. It sticks fine but then comes off much easier.

Thanks for the suggestion Kenny. The only problem is I dont really want to use Futura. I dont want a glossy finish. I need semi-gloss at best.

Well... This stuff is really thick (its house paint). I tried an experiment with rubbing alcohol and it seemed to be helping but then I think I added too much. Ill have to try another test. Is there a better way to get exact matched colors? I have some decals that I have to match exactly and matchin...

Well...I needed to exactly match some decals....so I took a sample to Sherman Williams and they used their computer system to match the colors. And the paint they have is called 'latex paint' but I verified that it IS acrylic.

I am a noob to airbrushes so excuse my dumb question... I had my local paint store match some colors i needed and I got some 'latex acrylic' in the colors I needed. I need to make a couple (2) copies of some small pieces of a styrene model. The pieces are about 1 inch by 1/4 inch. I need (hopefully) this process to be failrly simple and easy. I was wondering if I could just make a simple mold from clay, or liquid latex and then inject if with some hadware store...

err...why wouldnt you use spray frosting from a rattle-can?

My local hobby store has lots of Model Master Acryl paints so I would like to use those on my model. However, I am having no luck finding a color chart on the net that shows all the colors.

Anyone out there have a link??

The model is the 1/350 PL NX-01 Enterprise. I had done the complete aztecing and installed lights and the works. It looked really nice....

So, if i destroy the decals trying to fix this, where would I find another decal sheet for it (without buying the whole model)??

I think its a 'too thick' coat problem... Ok here was the sequence.... Primer Model master Metalizer Metalizer sealer ...then the decals.... Future 2nd coat future 1st coat Flat clear (on this coat I had probs with the airbrush and didnt get as complete a coat as I desired...I still had some glossy ...
