Future does do wonders on clear plastic, and yes, it can be painted on with a brush straight from the bottle.

Awesome - thanks for the quick reply macfrank. Id had seen both of those types, but the pictures were low quality, and from the very top down. Those are perfect pictures, and exactly what I was looking for. Thank you!

How do coin cell battery holders work?

Im working on a miniature that I want to put some lights in the base. Im using a plastic, frosted bottle top as the base (like the one on a gatorade bottle) - its about 1 3/4 inches/4.5 cm in diameter. In a perfect world, Id like to rig it ALL up in the bottle top - LED, Resistor, and a coin cell ba...

Sorry to both hijack someone else's post AND bring a post back from the dead, but... First of all, I wondered if Stellar_Expanse might see this post again - I was wondering about his/her results. Second, if I were to pick between Liquitex, Pactra, and House of Kolor for a nice pearl acrylic finish, ...

What is the best Dremel attachment for battle damage?

Ive got two models I want to bang up - a Falcon and an Xwing. I want to make the bolt marks on top of the Falcon (you know, the big chunks that are missing!), and I want to make like a grazing blaster shot across one of the wings of the Xwing. I guess I cant really go wrong with any Dremel attachmen...

Why airbrush vs paintbrush?

Ive done some searches, and Im sorry if I have missed this question somewhere, but why should one use an airbrush vs a regular paintbrush? With the exception of primer, I have always used a paint brush and a bottle of paint (even base coats). Id like to think Im pretty good with a nice sable brush. ...

To get a little more complicated, now say you wanted multiple lights to feed from your 9v battery. You can have serial circuits and parallel circuits. In a serial circuit, you connect all the LEDs to each other where you have the negative post of one LED connecting to the positive post of the next L...

How do you cut sheet styrene?

I just bought an AMT star destroyer off of evil bay and its missing parts (plus, Id like to try to add some of my own detail). What tool do you use to cut sheet styrene? What do you use to create detail in it? Ive looked at some of the stickies at the top of the forum...does an x-acto work? Somethin...
