Hey guys,
Just got this in the mail so I thought I would distract myself a bit from the real life stuff goin on in my family.
My question is would you use a dark brown, say burnt umber, as a wash in the gold areas? I plan to use an alizarin crimson wash to fill the panel lines etc on the metallic red.

Its a white metal kit from Knight Models. They have some other Marvel stuff and Starwars stuff on the way this summer.

It's kind of interesting to see how adjacent colors affect the main color. I was just playing around with it and here's gold with burnt umber:Lt. And then here's the same color of gold with ultramarine:

You can see how the blue kind of tints the gold green, while the brown gives it a richer, brassy look.
I guess it just depends on which way you want to go with the gold. Of course there's always a black wash or even a deep red.
