I haven't been building anything since I lost my hobby room last fall.
Well, where I live now... I made a small workbench in the basement.
Ok...
Well, I just got this resin kit and placed it in a metal foil pan and coved it with purple power to degrease it....
Well.... that stuff ate right thru the pan and leached all over the workbench.
Not only did it this stuff etch a pattern of the bottom of the pan on the workbench (which had two coats of poly) but it left a gritty residue on the model also!
Ok... so now I have it soaking in a pan of clean water and I am hoping that wet sanding the pieces with 800 or 1000 grit will take the grit off the model.
Moral of the story... if you are using purple power to clean your resin... don't do it in an alumimium foil pan.
