I roughened the fibers to diffuse the light coming through them.

Sorry for the blurry pics; slow shutter speed and holding everything by hand.
My alternative is to cast a clear head/helmet and directly light it with a small LED.
The kit helmet is not very accurate-looking; would this lighting technique work okay with the MMI Viper pilot figures, assuming I opened up some holes through the resin body to run the fibers? 'Cause I'd really like to use the female pilot figure.
Any feedback welcome

looks good, a clear cast head would be easier on folks not so good with a drill.
