Maybe a scene from "The Incredible Shrinking Man", using household items and one 1/48th scale figure.

Using the Apollo landing kit make a diorama of the landing being filmed on a movie set. Using the Enterprise Bridge kit show a scene being filmed. Using existing kits what scenes from the movies or TV could you do being filmed? Why stop there? Build the whole Desilu sound stage. http://www.startrek...

I've long wanted to expand the "Spock and Snakes" scene to include Kirk and McCoy doing stuff like punching a Klingon or treating an injured crewman.

Thanks, guy. In searching for mixing colors I ran across a viable bottle of Testors "Cream" enamel. Not my first choice but since I just needed a small amount...........

mixing flesh from other colors

What are the best colors and proportions for mixing up flesh tone? I'm painting a small figure and my flesh paint has congealed in the jar. (none is able to be salvaged.) I do have a large stock of other colors so please let me know your experiences. (Don't really want to hit a hobby shop these days.)

Fixing scratches in clear plastic

Can you do it with Future? I know you can, with a great deal of labor, sand them out an buff the whole thing smooth. I was just wondering about the idea of painting with future and rubbing it smooth that way. Seems like it might go quicker that way,

Re: 23rd Century Phaser with 21st Century Problem

A funny thing about today's batteries is that they seem to last longer with occasional to frequent use than they do with no use. I've got the same (or similar) phaser and seem to need new batteries every time I use it. (So few people need phasering these days.) I always take one of the old batteries...

Warm, soapy water. Work very slowly. Use a soft paint brush and work it under the decal as you go.

Maybe a cross-company battle between super-heroes and villains using 1/48 scale Heroclix, say between Batman and Spiderman on one side and the Joker and Green Goblin on the other.

Re: Drill bits for Fiber Optics

Talk to your dentist. Dental bits work great in a pin vise and come in many sizes. By the time they're no good for teeth, they're still great for plastic.

Re: Drilling Really Tiny Holes?

If you're friendly with your dentist he (or she) would probably be willing to give you old dental bits. Even when they're no longer good for teeth they're fine for styrene and resin. Been using them for years and have only broken two.

Is there a website that does this?

1. You upload a color.
2. It replies: "To obtain this color mix "x"% of "Y" paint with "x"% of "Z" paint.

Would take a lot of guesswork out of this hobby.

I went with the wood. Carved down good. Split well. Filled in some spots where I'd overcarved with regular auto putty. Am sanding away the edges now.
