Dial your air pressure back to 10-12 pounds, or get an inch or two closer. The paint's already drying by the time it hits the model.

Think I'd go with the orange first, then the base light gray of the peeling sections. Mask it all off and do the dark shadows under the peels, mask again and do the fuselage gray. Mix some Badger Extender in your paint cup to keep it from drying too quickly and clogging the needle.

DON'T use the brush in the bottle! Use a fine paintbrush. The bottle brush will do nothing but get adhesive everywhere but where you want it.

A can of spray paint. Are you using a BRUSH brush (with bristles) or an AIR brush? If you're trying to paint mesh with a bristle brush, the only way to do it without clogging up the mesh is drybrushing, where you dip just the ends of the bristles in paint, and wipe almost off the paint off the brush...

Ah.. Then I'd reccomend a base coat of white, followed by black, tour primer, and your color coats. I'd also suggest scoring around the window masks with a fresh hobby knife before lifting them.
