Re: Gentle Peoples....I seek inspiration!!!!
I am searching the unknown for ideas. Where do you get your ideas from? I get mine from an outfit in Schenectady, New York. I send 'em $25 a month, and they send me back an envelope of ideas. It's great!* Humble apologies to Harlan Ellison, but this hole was wide enough to drive a truck through, an...

You're probably looking at $10-$20 of cost-price parts max - but if you have to factor in someones hourly rate to design and build a controller, then that's probably a couple of days labor. What would a garage charge for for that much on a car? And that's the long and short of it. In Randy's defens...

Think I'd go with the orange first, then the base light gray of the peeling sections. Mask it all off and do the dark shadows under the peels, mask again and do the fuselage gray. Last thing would be the tiger stripes. But, that's just me... :D BTW, that is quite possibly THE coolest Tiger Meet sche...

Last week I noticed my local hobby shop had a mostly full case of Tenax on the shelf and another unopened one underneath. I bought two bottles just in case and asked the clerk if they were having any problems getting it. He said they were having no difficulties getting it from their distributor and...

Sure! Use pastels. Grind 'em into powder and apply with a brush. The best part? If you screw up, you wash it off and try again! Once you have the effect you want, seal the job with Dull Cote. Use several LIGHT coats. A heavy coat can discolor the pastels and ruin the effect. Another option is light ...

A can of spray paint. Are you using a BRUSH brush (with bristles) or an AIR brush? If you're trying to paint mesh with a bristle brush, the only way to do it without clogging up the mesh is drybrushing, where you dip just the ends of the bristles in paint, and wipe almost off the paint off the brush...

I use the plastic tops from discarded containers (like the kind you get on a can of mixed nuts) to place a small puddle of CA on. The can tops are soft and flexible so when I've got too much dried CA on one, I just bend the top back and forth until the spot of CA pops off. Good as new. For an appli...
